Relationship & Couples Counselling

Relationship and Couples Counselling is for two people who are wanting to strengthen, repair, and maintain their relationship. This could be a romantic relationship, a friendship, or a family relationship.

Often over time in our relationships, we develop patterns of conflict, communication, or complacency. Taking the time to nurture your relationship can allow you to break some of these patterns and bring intentionality back to the relationship.

You may find yourself seeking relationship counselling if:

  • you have continual conflict that seems to go in circles and is never resolved

  • you feel disconnected from one another and want to find closeness, connection, or intimacy

  • you are wanting to strengthen and maintain your relationship by taking intentional time to nurture it

Relationship counselling can help you to:

  • Resolve conflict and develop the skills to move through conflict more gracefully and lovingly

  • Communicate in a way that allows both people to feel heard and understood

  • Increase connection, intimacy, affection

  • Commit to the relationship or separate lovingly

Relationship counselling can be incredibly helpful in strengthening a relationship. A therapist can provide a safe space for both parties to express themselves and work through any obstacles in their relationship. It's important to note that seeking counselling does not mean your relationship is failing, but rather that you are invested in the health of the relationship. Seeking counselling within a relationship can allow for more learning about yourself and your partner or loved one. The goal of relationship counselling is not always to fix the issues, but rather to provide the tools and support needed to work through them together. Relationship counselling with Anna is culturally sensitive, and understanding and accepting of all genders, orientations, and relationship structures.
